Introduction: The cat is a harmless domestic animal. Everybody likes it.
Description: The cat is lovely looking. It has four legs, two eyes, two years and a tail. Its face is round, eyes are bright and tail is shaggy. Its teeth and claws are sharp. It can walk without making any noise as there are pads under its paws. It has whiskers. Its body is covered with soft hair. It looks like a small tiger. It is called the aunt of the tiger.
Kinds: Cats are of small and big in sizes. They are of different colours too. Some cats are white, some are black and some are of mixed colour. Wild cats are ferocious. They are found almost everywhere in the world.
Food: The cat is very fond of fish and milk. It also eats meat, rice and fish-bones.
Nature: The cat is very ease-loving. It is neat and clean by nature. It likes to sleep on a warm bed. In winter, it sleeps in the quilt. Sometimes it lies by the side of the hearth. The cat likes to play with children. It kills rats, small birds and insects. It hunts at night. It sleeps by day. It has a thievish habit.
Usefulness: The cat is very useful to us. By killing rats, mice, insects and small snakes it keeps our houses free from them. Thus it saves our food grains.
Conclusion: As cats are useful and fond of all we should be kind to them.
