Introduction: Every man has to abide by some rules and regulations in life. Man is a social being. He has to live with others in society. So he has to adjust his activities with the society he lives in. The rule which regulates human conduct is called discipline.
Best time to learn: Student life is the best period for learning discipline. A school should be the proper training centre for teaching good discipline. A student must attend school punctually and obey the rules of the school. He must carry out the orders of his teachers. He cannot make progress in life for want of discipline. So discipline is the keynote of success in life.
Discipline in the play-ground: A player should abide by all the rules of games and sports. All the players of a team must obey their captain. Without discipline no player can prove his worth.
Discipline in nature: The world around us teaches us discipline. The whole nature is a process of perfect discipline. The laws and principles that we find in the realm of nature speak of divine discipline. So we should live a life of discipline.
Importance: Discipline is at the root of success in life. A family with good discipline is like a team under a good captain. If all the members obey the head of the family and carry out his orders, it is sure to improve. A family without discipline is bound to ruin in course of time. An office must run in a disciplined way. The soldiers under a general must obey his commands. Discipline is absolutely necessary in the army.
License and freedom: A man is a social being. He lives in a society. So he cannot enjoy license and freedom. He cannot do whatever he likes. He must obey the rules and regulations of the society.
Conclusion: The value of discipline is so great in our life. So we must observe discipline in life at all stages.
