Introduction: The dog is a domestic animal. It is faithful to its master.
Description: The dog has four legs, two years, two eyes and a tail. Its legs are thin and strong, eyes are keen and tail is short and coiling. It has sharp teeth and claws. Its body covered with hair.
Kinds: Dogs are of different kinds. The bull dog, the greyhound, the mastiff, the spaniel, the lap-dog etc. are remarkable. Dogs are found all over the world. They differ in sizes and colours.
Food: The dog lives on flesh. It also eats rice, bread, fish and rotten things.
Nature: The dog is intelligent. It has keen sense of smell that helps it for tracing out enemies, lost persons and hunted beasts. It barks at a stranger. Dogs sometimes go mad. Their bites may cause hydrophobia that is a fatal disease.
Usefulness: The dog is a great friend of us. It guards our houses at night. Thieves cannot enter into our houses for it. It is a good companion of its master. It is very fond of its master. It gives services to its master even at the cost of its life. The police of some developed countries use dogs to trace out criminals.
Conclusion: Dogs are very useful to us. So we should treat them very kindly. We should be alert about stray dogs because they spread many dangerous diseases.
