(259 words, 7 paragraphs, 25 lines)

Introduction: Bangladesh is a land of rivers and canals. The villagers remain surrounded by water for four or five months in a year. So it is an easy task to arrange a boat journey

Time and occasion: It was the month if Ashar. The rainy season had just set in. My mother one day proposed to pay a visit to her father's house. Father agreed to her proposal

Preparation: A boat was hired. My mother and two sisters were prepared. Mother wanted me to accompany her. I was very glad to prepare myself. We were four in number.

Description of the journey: On the appointed day the boatman came with the boat. There were two boatmen. The weather was fair. We started on our journey at 8 a. m. from Karapur. The boat was going along the vast green paddy field full of water. It was really a very enjoyable sight. The scenery of the green villages was also very nice.

In the mean time the boat reached the Kirtankhola river. The river was calm. I saw many other boats going up and down. A cool breeze was blowing. The paddy plants were dancing on both the banks. The fishermen were fishing. The scenery was very much charming.

Receptions: We reached our destination at Charamaddi at 2 p. m. Uncles, aunts and cousins came. They received us cordially. We were very glad at heart.

Conclusion: A journey by boat is really a pleasant experience if the weather is fair. I shall never forget this pleasant occasion in my life.
