The occasion: Our school was closed for a fortnight for the autumn vacation. It is a nice time to go from one place to another. One day some of my friends came to me to discuss how we could utilize and enjoy the holidays. We decided to go to Chandraghona to see the Karnafuli Paper Mills.

The journey: On the appointed day we went to the Kamalapur station at 10 p.m. and availed ourselves of the Chittagong Mail. The train moved very fast and reached Chittagong in the morning. The steamer bound for Chandraghona was ready. We took it and were beside ourselves with joy. The steamer went down the Kalurghat Bridge and advanced towards Chandraghona. At about noon, we reached the destination. It is really a place of interest and is known as an industrial area all over the world.

The description: The mill occupies a vast area. The chimney has raised its towering head on the banks of the Karnafuli. Beautiful bungalows have been built there. We were received cordially and accommodated in the guest house. We had bath and ate our meals to our heart's content.

The mill experience: At afternoon, the mill authority sent us a guide and permitted us to see round the entire area. It was a new experience for us. We went round and saw the rolling machine. Expert hands are engaged in different sections. We were spell-bound to see how these people were running the mill.

Special attraction: The machines of the mill and process of the production of paper were the objects of our special attraction.

Conclusion: The visit to this place of interest gave us an opportunity of gathering new experiences about paper industry. We enjoyed the journey and felt refreshed. We came back after a week.
